While visiting a friend in the area we happened upon this diner and were pleased we did. The atmosphere is comfortably casual. Most of the patrons appeared to be regulars and many knew each other. The menu was broad, food was wonderful, the service was fast, the staff was friendly and the prices are a good value. We’ll definitely come back.
Breakfast is something you should do. Also attended an evening birthday party there and it was straight up but excellent. The people are outstanding, and food (especially breakfast) is worth the trip.
A lovely diner! Very friendly staff. Made us feel very welcomed. Food was priced very fair and it was all hot and tasty!
My family eats in here a lot... It's just like home here if I'm not cooking here at dogged state I'm at home cooking the same things I love it here everything is almost perfect we work hard too give people what they want I see a lot of good things about dogged state my boss Kim Watley is why this is what it is. And the other big bosses they make sure we have what you want so make sure you tell them what you want it's all about you here.. we are trying to get the bar open so come see us Friday and Saturday night we have food late I keep the kitchen open until 11 so open menu then bar food after 12
This establishment has been a welcome change to Amelia. Although I loved Busics before they bought the building out, Dogged State is very good all around.
The everything omelet and biscuits and gravy were amazing , staff is great Thanks again
So I tried the lasagna tonight it was good just need allot less hamburger and more sauce. It was very dry. There was probably 1/2 pound of hamburger which made it dry. I do highly recommend breakfast and would eat here again but maybe try something different.service is excellent and the atmosphere was great. I like to support my local businesses.
I had county ham, sausage, biscuit and gravy, home fries and bacon. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Relaxed and friendly atmosphere and customers. They were very generous and put Bailey's in my coffee on request even though it was off the menu. County ham was straight -up delicious and the biscuit was great - light and fluffy and fresh! My wife said her pancakes were delicious. We plan on making another stop even though we're hours away. This is my new go-to food stop on this route now.As an addendum they've got hot coffee and orange and pineapple juice - I noticed in the past that other reviews had stated this was not the case; I think that information is outdated.
